JCI Abuja Unity International Women’s Day Outreach 2025

After the amazing work my team of dedicated medical professionals and I did in partnership with YALI, we received another call, this time from JCI Abuja Unity @jciabujaunity , in collaboration with @samempowermentfoundation , alongside @tw_inclusivehealthfoundation, MASTAI Impact Foundation , and the Association of Lady Pharmacists (Abuja chapter). @alps_fct_abuja

Our destination this time was a new community I had never heard of before, Guyinda community.

This outreach was specially organized in celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, themed “Accelerating Action for Gender Equality.”

The experience was deeply fulfilling. We provided:

• Free health consultations

• Vital signs checks

• Malaria, Hepatitis B & HIV screening

• Distribution of drugs & mosquito nets to pregnant/nursing mothers

And an on-the-spot idea I personally initiated a deworming exercise where we treated 100+ children.

Every smile, every sigh of relief, every “thank you” we received reminded me why I keep showing up for this mission. 💙

With every outreach, I’m learning, innovating, and committing to do more in tackling global health issues through public health advocacy and service.
