Dr. Kiema Stephanie Ogunlana (JCIN.AMB) stands as a distinguished JCIN AMBASSADOR, humanitarian, social-impact leader and advocate for youth, women and vulnerable groups in Nigeria.
My Story
Over the past decade plus she has dedicated her professional and voluntary career to driving change through program management, advocacy, collaboration and direct service. Dr. Ogunlana is a seasoned program manager,
strategic communicator and social-impact leader with more than a decade of experience working with
government institutions, UN agencies, civil society organisations, and youth groups. Her work spans
education, economic empowerment, policy advocacy, skills development, and direct support
interventions for orphans, displaced persons, and marginalised communities

We are proud to recognise Dr. Kiema Stephanie Ogunlana for her distinguished service and outstanding
contributions to youth development, community health and empowerment in Abuja and beyond. With
more than 14 years of dedicated service as a member of JCI Abuja Unity, and as Programme Director of
the SAM Empowerment Foundation, Dr. Ogunlana has boldly led numerous outreach programmes,
forging partnerships that extend hope, skills and opportunity to vulnerable children, women and
marginalised communities.
Her leadership is evidenced in health-screening outreaches in underserved communities such as
Guyinda and Kwoyi in the FCT; feeding programmes reaching hundreds daily during Ramadan;
collaborative nutrition advocacy via CS-SUNN; and the consistent mobilization of resources and strategic
relationships to advance inclusive and sustainable development.
Educated to postgraduate levels (MSc Management, MSc Social Work, DPeace) and currently pursuing
her PhD in Social Work, Dr. Ogunlana navigates the intersection of practice, policy and impact with
professional excellence. Her personal commitment to youth mentorship, social protection, and
stakeholder engagement has created pathways of transformation across Nigeria’s capital region.
