My Story
- Philanthropic Efforts:
Idam is known for her generosity, particularly in supporting widows and the less privileged. On her 53rd
birthday, she distributed essential food items to 160 widows in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja,
setting an example of kindness and community spirit. She was born on January 24th, 1971 at Suleja,
Niger State and hails from Amasiri, Afikpo, LGA Ebonyi State.
- Media Career:
She is the Executive Director of Weekenders Media Commercial Limited, the publishers of Weekenders
Magazine. Her work in media has earned her several recognitions, and she often uses her platform to
promote social causes and highlight important issues.
- Community Service:
Idam emphasizes the importance of collective responsibility in supporting vulnerable members of
society, especially widows. She encourages well-meaning individuals and philanthropists to contribute
to this noble cause, promoting a culture of compassion and communal care in Nigeria.
- Awards and Recognition:
She has been involved in various capacities, including serving as the Secretary of the Stand Up for
Women Societies (SWS) FCT Chapter. Her work has been acknowledged by notable figures and
organizations, including the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council, NAWOJ, where she plays key
role as a former Leader
She was former Chairperson Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ FCT. She also served two
terms as Assistant Secretary NUJ FCT Council. She is also Co - Founding Member of JCI Abuja Unity and
was President in 2009, she cleared several awards during the Area Confetence. And Won the Most
Outstanding Chapter President Award 2009, Best Community Project 2009. She Also Served JCI Nigeria
as Director Governmental Affairs in 2010 and Director Media Publicity 2011.
- Personal Life:
Idam celebrates her birthday annually by giving back to the community, as seen in her birthday
celebrations in the last 10 years, where she donated to widows. She also honors her late mother, Bassey
Ita - Chukwu Idam, by continuing her legacy of kindness and philanthropy.
